pachita's hair

so I once noted that pachita's hair would not grow because it was mocking me jajaja Now her hair is longer and it is ALWAYS a mess. How does one keep a child's long hair in some sort of order? I can't figure it out. I tried brushing it after bath time, but it still messes up at night. And I don't fuss over my own hair so you can imagine my ability to ignore what HER hair looks like. Until we are suddenly at daycare or otherwise out in public and I think, "I really should have done something with her hair." That something happens to be pig tails right now. Which is just super cute, of course. And once they are in, she smiles, and I tell her to shake her ponies, and we have a fun dance together.
